About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Food & Beverage Department, the Chef de Rang Rooftop Bar is responsible for assistingthe Rooftop team to always provide impeccable service to guests. The Chef de Rang Rooftop Bar reports to the F&B Manager.
As a Chef de Rang Rooftop Bar, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
* Professional consultation and care for our guests
* Proper serving of food and beverages
* Ensuring adherence to our high service quality standards
* Preparation of mise en place, table setting, and cleaning tasks in the restaurant area
* Supporting supervisors in managing daily operations
* Booking all transactions in the POS system and performing accurate cash register settlements
* Assisting in the preparation and execution of special events
* Complying with hygiene regulations and maintaining cleanliness in accordance with HACCP guidelines
As Chef de Rang Rooftop Bar, we expect from you:
* Completed vocational training in the hotel or restaurant industry, or several years of experience in a similar role
* Hands-on experience working behind the bar, including drink preparation
* Basic computer skills; familiarity with the POS system Infrasys and the booking system SevenRooms is desirable
* Strong communication skills – guests will approach you with both complaints and positive feedback
* Openness and teamwork skills
* Excellent manners, a well-groomed appearance, and a positive demeanor
* Flexibility and resilience – your position includes weekend and holiday shifts
* Very good German and English skills; additional foreign language skills are an advantage
