Planner
Our client, a global leader in pharma / biotech manufacturing and currently expanding its facilities worldwide is looking for a Planner to support SGIE Capital Projects for its global facilities and infrastructure. This is a 12-month contract with high extension potential, based on-site in Stein, Switzerland. This is a full‑time, on‑site position.
Main Responsibilities
As a key member of the Global Project Controls function, you will be responsible for planning and overseeing project schedules across various project stages for large‑scale capital investments.
You will :
* Develop, monitor and update integrated project plans and schedules across the full project scope to ensure efficient execution.
* Ensure accurate schedule integration from all contributing parties (EPCM partners, contractors, internal teams).
* Prepare baseline schedules and schedule‑basis documentation for project team approval.
* Assess impacts to the critical path and near‑critical activities and report findings to the project team.
* Monitor schedule deviations and variances and support mitigation planning and corrective actions.
* Prepare and deliver periodic schedule progress reports, trending charts and in‑depth schedule analyses.
* Maintain comprehensive records of scope changes, trends and variances impacting schedule performance.
* Assure the credibility and integrity of all schedule information presented.
* Conduct regular schedule reviews with project team members to ensure timely and accurate data collection.
* Facilitate project scheduling and interactive planning meetings as required.
* Ensure appropriate resource loading within schedules.
* Perform other project planning duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant working / residency permit or Swiss / EU citizenship required.
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Business Management or a related field.
* 5–10 years of experience in planning large capital projects (20 Mio CHF or more), ideally in pharma / biotech or similar highly regulated industries.
* Strong command of English; German is preferred.
* Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex datasets and support decision‑making.
* Experience working independently as well as collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
* Ability to navigate ambiguity, shifting priorities and fast‑paced environments.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
