Global Strategic Sourcing Manager Consumables (100%)
Your contribution
In this role, you will be at the heart of our global supply chain for consumables, driving both operational excellence and strategic initiatives
Operational Tasks
* Run MRP for assigned portfolios (consumables/service parts): stock allocation by central warehouses, data analysis, and forecasting
* Proactively communicate with stakeholders on material availability, risks, and recovery plans
* Partner with production plants and suppliers to refine order sizes, intervals, and delivery performance
* Support product lifecycle management, including phase-in and phase-out activities
* Generate and analyze KPIs and drive corrective actions for continuous improvement
* Champion process enhancements within Distribution Logistics
* Escalate critical issues swiftly to safeguard business continuity
* Maintain high standards of master-data quality and auditability
Strategic Tasks
* Lead supplier offer evaluations and price negotiations
* Oversee supplier selection, relationship management, and performance reviews
* Plan and conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance and drive improvement
* Organize quarterly business reviews with internal and external stakeholders
* Develop and implement supply chain risk management strategies
* Identify and assess new sourcing opportunities and alternative suppliers
* Drive cost optimization initiatives and support make-or-buy decisions
* Monitor market trends to inform and adapt supply chain strategy
* Collaborate across functions to align supply chain with business goals
* Advance sustainability initiatives throughout the supply chain
Your background

* Technical or commercial education, ideally with advanced training in supply chain or procurement
* 5+ years' experience in supply chain or materials management, including 3+ years in a fast-paced industry
* Proficient in SAP R/3, S/4HANA, IBP and Business Warehouse
* Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
* Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
* Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities
* Independent, assertive, and disciplined with data
* Good practical experience in the application of AI tools and technologies
* Customer-focused, collaborative, flexible, and solution-oriented
