The Purpose Of This Role: The main goal of a Microsoft Solution Engineer (SE) is to win the technical decision of customers to purchase and use our technology. The SE works within a virtual team of technical, partner and consulting resources to help educate customers at a technical level, demonstrate and prove our solutions, and win the technical decision, enabling the team to achieve or exceed quarterly sales targets in the accounts. The role helps the team maintain and develop deep technical expertise across Microsoft and non-Microsoft cloud-based technologies.
Impact: As a Cloud & AI Solution Engineer for the Azure platform, you’ll design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient architectures that support AI workloads and business-critical applications, working with technical and business stakeholders to modernize infrastructure and unlock the value of Microsoft’s cloud.
Responsibilities
* Lead Technical Engagements: Own technical discussions for Azure Migration with customers; apply consultative methodologies; define engagement rules for extended teams.
* Build Migration Strategy: Translate customer vision into a strategy; address concerns; remove blockers; articulate technology complexity in business terms; collaborate to create an implementation roadmap.
* Drive Technical Assessments: Evaluate current environments to create migration plans and a business case for transformation.
* Design Solutions: Craft solutions that secure technical decisions and meet customer needs using architectural principles and proven methodologies.
* Align Stakeholders: Ensure technical decision-makers endorse the proposed architecture and migration plan.
* Execute Proof of Concepts (POC) and MVPs: Validate solutions and accelerate customer confidence through demonstrations.
* Scale Through Partners: Liaise between partners and account teams; facilitate resources; identify skill gaps and provide feedback.
* Champion Customer Voice: Share insights and promote best practices; collaborate with Engineering to remove blockers; support pipeline creation with Specialists.
* Consultative Selling: Engage customers to uncover needs and craft tailored solutions delivering business value.
* Communicate with Impact: Adapt technical messaging across technologies to drive clarity in decision-making.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
* Some first years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR equivalent experience
* Some first years of experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management
* Proficiency in French and/or German is required to engage with customers
