Job description
* Supplier network: engage, build and maintain strong relationships across new and existing NbS project developers globally.
* Portfolio management: maintain a detailed understanding and up‑to‑date knowledge of all preferred NbS projects and the broader market, manage deliveries and additional volume confirmations for all NbS contracts.
* Contract negotiations: onboard new suppliers, set up and negotiate contracts to ensure highest quality supply for Climeworks’ customers.
* Portfolio expansion: manage continual integration of NbS projects into the Climeworks portfolio (database management, customer matching, etc).
* Sales support: support sales in enabling deals with NbS volumes by inputting into proposals, RfIs or participating in pitch meetings.
* Market insights: stay up to date with market movements, major deals, policies relating to NbS and brief senior management on developments.
* NbS strategy: shape the Climeworks’ NbS strategy together with the scientific lead by weighing expected demand, available supply, financing models, methodologies, etc.
* Broader commercial strategy: contribute to team efforts on sourcing, business model and general commercial strategy more widely, including representing Climeworks at external events.
* External representation: be the face of Climeworks in the nature‑based world by participating in panels, speaking on stages and generally being visible in the CDR ecosystem.
Job requirements
* Education & Experience: excellent academic record in a relevant field and at least 2 years of work experience in nature‑based solutions and a fast‑paced, analytical environment.
* Deal sourcing: experience in deal sourcing, partnership development, contract negotiation and voluntary carbon market (VCM) dynamics.
* Strategic & analytical skills: think strategically while maintaining a pragmatic approach, and possess strong analytical capabilities.
* Problem‑solving & adaptability: proactively identify issues, develop creative solutions and remain flexible while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
* Project and stakeholder management: proven project management skills and senior stakeholder management experience.
* Team player: collaborate effectively, communicate confidently in English with senior internal and external stakeholders, and actively contribute to Climeworks’ partnership growth.

Salary
Salary ranges are assigned based on seniority and location. Compensation depends on skills, experience and the value you bring to the team.

* This position is based in Opfikon, Zurich, and we ask that you work onsite at least three days per week.
