We are seeking an E-Commerce Merchandiser (Specialist), EMEA to join our Commercial EMEA team at Fossil Group in Basel, Switzerland. In this role, you will support business growth, protect a strong brand identity, and improve the customer experience by identifying opportunities through analysis of website KPIs, content, and merchandising performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Optimize product, category, content, and promotional execution to improve the on-site customer journey and drive growth.
* Ensure products are featured in line with brand standards, aligning landing pages, assortments, and ranking with campaign messaging and tone of voice.
* Localise and adapt global content strategies to meet EMEA needs; propose improvements to modules, pages, and journeys, as well as new promotions and enhanced site linking, based on performance learnings.
* Partner with Integrated Marketing, Operations, Web Development, and UA/UX teams to manage content delivery, testing, and timely campaign launches.
* Conduct daily and weekly site/category audits to identify opportunities across visual merchandising, content, taxonomy, pricing, on-site search, filters, and sorting.
* Use site analytics to monitor results, summarize insights, and deliver actionable recommendations on assortment, pricing, promotions, content, and online experience; share findings with stakeholders as needed.
* Work with the CRM team on merchandising strategy for email marketing, loyalty program initiatives, and content calendars aligned to key product pushes and promotions.
* Collaborate with SEO to support organic traffic growth through optimized category structures, on-page content, internal linking, and keyword-aligned execution.
* Partner with Regional Merchants and eCommerce Planning on assortment optimization, inventory planning/forecasting, product lists, and identifying future product opportunities; support monthly inventory reservation processes.
* Align merchandising initiatives with Performance Marketing, Legal, Creative, Customer Service, and Logistics to ensure consistent execution and maximum impact.
Qualifications
* 3+ years of experience in e-commerce, with a strong focus on merchandising and content.
* Business-fluent English; additional European languages are a plus.
* Experience in Fashion (or a similar consumer-facing, brand-driven industry) is preferred.
Skills and Competencies
* Strong analytical and commercial thinking; comfortable working with KPIs and performance insights.
* Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
* Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Proactive, hands-on, and able to take ownership of tasks end-to-end in a fast-moving environment.
* Collaborative and flexible working style across cross-functional teams.
* Advanced user of Excel and PowerPoint and strong experience with Google Sheets and Slides.
* Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, GA4, Tableau, SAP, and/or Contentsquare is a plus.
