Job Description
CERN is seeking a Digital IC Design Engineer to contribute to the development of cutting-edge digital microelectronics for high-speed, radiation-tolerant communication systems. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an international team pushing the boundaries of particle physics detector technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop digital circuits for high-speed silicon photonics systems.
* Architectural design, RTL implementation, and physical verification.
* Work with advanced CMOS technology nodes, addressing key challenges such as multi-mode and multi-corner designs, power integrity analysis, and sign-off methodologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Strong experience in RTL circuit design using Verilog.
* Working knowledge of digital design flows, including synthesis, place-and-route, static timing analysis, physical and formal verification.
* Experience in power integrity analysis and sign-off using Cadence Voltus or similar EDA tools.
* Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Bash, MATLAB).
* Laboratory characterization of integrated circuits.
* A strong passion for CMOS circuit design and technology.
