Project Plant Engineer - GMP, French contract opportunity to join our Neuchatel based client in the Pharma sector.
Your tasks:
* The Engineering Lead & Plant Engineer F & U has a multitasking/cross functional role responsible for supporting the delivery of projects of varying complexity that span site operations and organizational boundaries, coordinating all Engineering Work Packages (WP) and other project aspects (Metrology, Automation, Electricity, EHS, Validation, etc.).
* Serve as the primary contact (Subject Matter Expert SME) for users of the assigned installations regarding technical aspects (HVAC, Water Systems - WFI, Cooling, Chillers, Process Gases, Building Utility Systems – all critical GMP Utilities).
* Participate actively in investigations, deviations, and CAPAs related to quality and EHS, ensuring compliance with cGMP, GEP, SUVA/ASIT, etc.
* Lead and support the design and qualification of improvements, changes, or upgrades to equipment/plant, monitor and evaluate supplier interventions for FU equipment.
* Chair Engineering work stream team meetings.
* Ensure all Engineering Work Packages are delivered according to the project schedule.
* Ensure designs are fit-for-purpose, avoiding over-engineering, and actively challenge over-engineered solutions.
* Review and approve design deliverables.
* Manage scope, risks, and stakeholders within his work stream.
* Be responsible for his backup organization in projects.
* Respect escalation processes.
* Contribute effectively to the project portfolio life cycle management policy.
Your experience/knowledge:
* At least 5 years of experience in Pharma/Biotech/Chemical or Energy industries.
* Knowledge of a GMP environment.
* Engineering degree (BS, MS, or equivalent) in mechanical, automation/technical engineering, biotechnology, or sciences such as chemistry or physics.
* PLC/Automation programming experience (Siemens, Johnson Controls, or Allen Bradley) is a plus.
* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Project, OneNote).
* Fluent in French and English; German is a plus.
