For one of our clients in the railway industry, we are looking for an OT Cyber Security Engineer to support secure train systems and onboard IT infrastructure.
You will be involved from early design to implementation, ensuring cybersecurity is embedded across projects. Acting as a bridge between engineering teams, customers, and stakeholders, you’ll help deliver secure and compliant solutions in a regulated environment.
Ensure the cybersecurity of railway systems by defining security concepts, performing risk assessments, and supporting teams throughout the project lifecycle—always aligned with industry standards and regulations.
Support cybersecurity activities across offer, project, and approval phases
Align and implement security requirements with customers and engineering teams
Perform risk and threat analyses in industrial/OT environments
Define security concepts and system designs for onboard IT
Contribute to compliance and documentation
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
OT Networks and Communication Technologies
Standards: IEC 62443 is a must, and EN 50701 a plus
Embedded and vehicle-related IT systems
Evolving Regulations (e.g., Cyber Security Act 2026)
Background in Cyber Security, IT, or similar (or relevant IT training)
Minimum 3–5+ years of experience (multiple roles open: mid to senior)
Good understanding of OT and industrial cybersecurity risks
Interest in Networks and Communication Technologies
Strong, analytical and communication skills
Fluent German and English B2+ required.
