We are looking for a hands-on technical manager to lead front-end production support operations in a highly regulated, high-uptime manufacturing environment. This role sits at the intersection of people leadership, critical utilities infrastructure, and operational excellence. You will manage a team of technicians responsible for Deionized Water (DIW) generation, wastewater neutralization, gas abatement systems, rough pumps, and chemical operations, ensuring uninterrupted support to internal production teams. The position requires strong technical credibility, structured leadership, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in a 24/7 industrial setting. This is an on-site, full-time role with regular on-call responsibility.
Responsibilities
* Lead, develop, and manage a team of technicians supporting front-end production utilities.
* Ensure continuous availability, reliability, and performance of critical systems, including:
o Ultra-pure Deionized Water (DIW) generation stations
o Wastewater neutralization systems
o Gas abatement systems (process gas scrubbers)
o Sub-fab rough pumps
o Chemical warehouse operations and stock management
* Guarantee on-time and uninterrupted delivery of chemistry and utilities to internal operations.
* Own the technical and operational readiness of the team (capacity, skills, coverage).
* Drive knowledge capitalization through the creation, update, and enforcement of official procedures and work instructions.
* Lead change management initiatives to improve efficiency, safety, and system reliability.
* Interface closely with internal technical services, production teams, chemists, and on-site partner companies.
* Manage external suppliers and service providers related to utilities and maintenance.
* Contribute to site-wide projects related to utilities, sustainability, and operational improvements.
* Participate in regular on-call rotation to support critical operations when required.
* Actively support environmental objectives related to water recycling and emissions reduction.
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with:
o Pump systems
o Gas abatement systems
o Deionized Water (DIW) generation and maintenance
* Proven experience managing technical teams in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, structure, and hold teams accountable.
* Demonstrated change management capability in operational settings.
* Solid understanding of safety, compliance, and environmental constraints.
* Ability to remain calm, decisive, and structured under operational pressure.
* BSc or technical degree; management experience is required.
* Project management experience is a strong plus.
* Fluency in French (C1)
