About the team you are joining
IATA Events provide organizations active in air transport with an essential arena for insight, discussion and cooperation on industry-related issues. Your will join the IATA Event Operations team as Intern Event Operations and therefore work in a fast pace, multi-disciplinary and diverse environment. If you have excellent organizational and communication skills, a high-level of initiative and strong cultural awareness, enjoy engaging with internal and external stakeholders and are interested in events and in the air transport industry, we strongly encourage you to apply to this position. You will report to the Senior Manager Event Operations, and will be supporting the administration, operations and logistics of the annual global IATA events.
What your day would be like
A typical day in this role might include:
- Managing content on event websites, keeping FAQs and sponsor information up to date and uploading final slide decks to event pages.
- Updating internal marketing materials, ensuring sponsor logos and details are accurate and ready for use across channels.
- Reviewing and validating event registrations, checking delegate categories and admission items, spotting incomplete registrations, and reaching out directly to delegates when clarification is needed.
- Processing SPEX and event-related contracts in LCP and SAP, supporting seamless collaboration with internal stakeholders and the Event Contracts team.
- Preparing post-event reports, compiling data and insights that help evaluate event success and inform future improvements.
- Providing remote support for ongoing events, assisting the team quickly and effectively when operational needs arise.
- Preparing transition slides used during events
- Uploading and organizing event photos on the official IATA Flickr account to maintain our event archives and photo library.
We would love to hear from you if
1. You recently (within 1 year) graduated from a University with a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field such as Marketing, Event management and/or Business;
2. You have knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT, etc.), Adobe Creative Suite and HTML/SharePoint.
3. You can prioritize multiple projects, are highly organized and can take care of detailed administrative tasks.
4. You can easily adapt to workload and work under pressure with a positive mindset, proactivity and a problem-solving attitude.
5. You have excellent English writing skills and good attention to details.
6. Experience working with CVENT, SAP and Salesforce is a plus.
