Job description
We are looking for a Senior Technical Assistant to join our team based in Müttenz. You will play a key role in supporting research, development, and production activities, ensuring high-quality execution of experimental work, process optimization, and continuous improvement of technical procedures.
🔥 Your missions :
* Execute and coordinate technical or laboratory activities according to established protocols and safety standards.
* Support the design, setup, and maintenance of experiments, trials, or pilot plant operations.
* Collect, analyze, and document experimental data using digital tools and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
* Ensure accurate calibration and maintenance of equipment and instruments.
* Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and data quality.
* Train and mentor junior technical assistants or interns on methods, tools, and safety procedures.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure alignment with project goals.
* Support technology transfer and scale-up activities from research to production.
* Maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards (HSE, GLP, ISO).
* Prepare technical summaries and contribute to internal reports or presentations.
🎯 Your profile :
* You have a degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Agricultural Science, or a related technical field (Bachelor’s or equivalent).
* You have at least 5 years of relevant technical or laboratory experience in a research, production, or analytical environment.
* You are fluent in English, German is a plus.
* You have a strong experience with laboratory equipment, analytical techniques, pilot plant systems, and digital tools such as LIMS, SAP, MS Office, and ELN.
* You have a strong understanding of safety and quality management systems (HSE, GLP, ISO).
* You are able to troubleshoot technical issues and propose practical solutions.
* You have excellent communication and teamwork skills in a multicultural environment.
