The Fire Application team develops advanced fire safety products and is actively working on linking these systems to cloud-based services. The team focuses on distributed systems, real‑time and embedded software, as well as security concepts to ensure robust protection for our software, data and customers worldwide.
Your new responsibilities
* You will be working in a cross‑functional, agile team, playing a decisive role in defining the function and design of software components and assuming responsibility for them over time.
* The scope of responsibilities ranges from software design to the delivery of market‑ready solutions for our customers.
* You will be responsible for implementing security guidelines to ensure that our software meets the highest standards of protection and compliance.
* By continuously applying and improving test strategies, you will ensure that our products meet our strict quality requirements.
* You will work globally with internal and external colleagues, customers, suppliers, universities and other development departments.
* You will assume responsibility for your own work and use the freedom given to you to achieve the best possible solutions.

Your talents and experience
* Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or electrical engineering with an emphasis on software development.
* Experience and Skills:
o Several years of professional experience (3‑5 years) in software development.
o In‑depth knowledge of hardware‑related software development for embedded systems.
o Good command of (Embedded) Java, or C++, UML, git, continuous integration, C#, Dockerised systems and Linux.
o A passion for embedded software, with a strong preference for candidates who have experience in developing and implementing test and security concepts.
* Ways of Working: Self‑motivated, enthusiastic, able to work independently, and proactive.
* Languages: Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English; German is a plus.
