For one of our clients, an asset management company, we are looking for a Head of Finance, to strenghtening the financial capabilities of the company and supporting its next stage of development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and lead the financial strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall objectives and regulatory framework.
2. Oversee all financial activities, including long-term planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and financial reporting.
3. Manage and mentor the Accounting & Services team (3 people), fostering a culture of performance, collaboration, and professional development.
4. Proactively manage tax-related activities for both the company and its clients; ensure full compliance with tax laws and coordinate with external advisors to develop effective tax strategies and mitigate risks.
5. Provide comprehensive financial data, analysis, and presentations to management and key stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
6. Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance financial efficiency and support the achievement of business goals.
7. Ensure full compliance with financial regulations, FINMA requirements, and industry best practices.
8. Review and update internal financial policies and procedures to ensure adaptability, compliance, and operational excellence.
9. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and automation within financial operations.
10. Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
11. Lead and drive strategic financial initiatives to address emerging challenges and capitalize on market opportunities.
Profile
12. University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline; a professional qualification (CFA, CPA, etc.) is a strong asset.
13. 10–15+ years of proven experience in senior finance roles within the financial services sector, ideally in asset management, wealth management, or banking.
14. Strong understanding of Swiss tax regulations, financial reporting, and accounting standards.
15. Proficient in financial management systems, advanced Excel, and data analysis tools.
16. Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail, a results-driven approach, and problem-solving ability.
17. In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and FINMA requirements applicable to asset managers and financial institutions.
18. Demonstrated leadership and team management experience, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
19. Hands-on, pragmatic, and relationship-oriented finance professional, capable of collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
20. Business fluency in English and French, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
