Day-to-Day Responsibilities
* Pro-active processing of DB change requests according to the Kanban board (e.g., scripting, documentation)
* SQL query performance analysis to optimize access in collaboration with the DEV teams
* Configure/monitor DB replication streams
* Planning & execution of all DB migrations from DEV to PRD
* Further development of existing documentation and script library (TACL - Tandem Advanced Command Language)
* Proactive monitoring of application queues at server class level
* Responsible for dimensioning the FO application (number of instances, parallel operation, etc.)
* Ensure that no tables or disks overflow. Define measures in collaboration with system specialists
* Participate in HW capacity planning
* Support the release manager, including creating rough schedules
* Optimize the DB deployment process
* Maintain the mySQL DB regarding changes or evaluations using ACM (Automated Configuration Management GUI)
* Make configuration adjustments and evaluate config files, initiating necessary measures before GoLive
Who Are We Looking For
We seek big thinkers—people who can drive positive change, step up, and show what’s next. We value passion, a can-do attitude, and a hunger to learn and grow. Specifically, we look for:
* At least 3 years of experience with relational database systems (SQL, Access)
* Experience in performance analysis of database queries and accesses
* Support development teams in database design and access optimization, including scripting for database porting (DEV - Production)
* Manage and extend the current script tool library using technologies such as DOS, BASH, VisualBasic
* Knowledge of JAVA, C, VisualBasic (optional)
* Framework experience with Jenkins & GIT, as well as the HPNS platform (advantage)
* Experience in capacity planning of platforms and applications
* Proficiency in German and/or French, with business-fluent English skills
* Willingness for mobile working within Switzerland and flexible working hours
