As a Category Management Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our product strategy by leveraging data and insights. You will analyze sales trends, generate data insights to optimize our product mix, and help refine our promotional and pricing strategies to meet customer demands, all via the use of quantitative analysis. Working closely with our teams, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance our offering and operational efficiency.
Your Responsibilities
Category Performance Analysis: Guide Category Management decision-making with continuous analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) and quantitative product performance metrics
Process Optimization: Identify areas for automation, improve efficiencies within the Category Management and contribute to the professionalisation of our processes
Product Information Management (PIM): Own and maintain our PIM system, ensuring data accuracy and usability
Market & Consumer Trends: Stay up to date on industry trends and consumer preferences to refine our product portfolio and strategy
Cross-Team Collaboration: Support the Category Management team in key initiatives with other teams, ranging across technical and conceptual projects
Your profile
Minimum 1 year of work experience in Category Management, Product Management, Insights, Business Development, Consulting or a similar role, preferably in the FMCG sector
A completed educational degree (Fachhochschule, apprenticeship, or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, or a similar field). A master’s degree is a plus
A clear analytical, detail-oriented and structured way of working - you take pride in the details, and you show it
Quantitative analysis skills supported by strong, demonstrable knowledge of business applications and data visualization tools such as Tableau and Excel are a must
Fluency in English, advanced German and/or French
