Job Description
The candidate will work with digital transcriptions of ancient texts from the Registers of the Geneva Council and their modernized versions to enhance them through data analysis. They will deploy interactive visual discovery tools for the general audience and interactive visual scientific exploration tools for expert audiences such as historians.
This PhD position is part of a 4-year project titled "Une édition sémantique et multilingue en ligne des registres du Conseil de Genève". The project aims to create a sustainable, open-source computing platform offering not only text transcription but also modernization, translation into multiple languages, and digital tools for visualization and advanced exploration.
