The College of Management of Technology (CDM) is the entity of EPFL in charge of developing and offering education and research programs in the fields of management, economics and finance. It employs 16 professors and about 100 staff members. CDM connects EPFL with business and society, stimulates entrepreneurship and innovation on campus, and prepares students for leadership positions in business, policy and academia.
Mission
You will support Prof. Andrés Cristi (PATT) in the administrative and financial management of his Game Theory and Operations research chair (GO). You will provide light administrative support to Prof. Luisa Lambertini's activities.
Main duties and responsibilities
Administrative managment of the GO Chair:
* Accounting management of the Chair's budget, research grants, and third-party funds (salaries, expenses, credit card, purchases, budget forecasting, financial reporting, etc.)
* Staff administration (HR follow-up, visa and contract management, onboarding of new employees, departures, presence and absence reporting, holiday tracking. etc.)
* Coordination of the travel arrangements for the group members and visitors (travel and accommodation, visas, logistics, reimbursements)
* Organization support for the MTEI institute's research seminars (logistics, website management and finances)
* IT Inventory coordinator for the Chair (inventory tracking and yearly validation)
* General administrative and logistical support to the Chair (website updates, communication, etc.)
Support for Prof. Lambertini:
* Accounting operations of activities (expenses, credit card, purchases)
* Staff administration (HR follow-up, visa and contract management, departures)
* Coordination of travel arrangements
Profile
* BA studies, CFC training or equivalent;
* Skilled & precise in budget planning and financial accounting;
* Strong expertise in Microsoft Office software (Word, Outlook, Excel);
* Self-driven, excellent organizational skills, rigorous with attention to detail;
* Dynamic and proactive, taking initiatives and capable of working autonomously;
* Easiness to assimilate new IT tools;
* Ability to work with a diverse and multicultural group;
* Fluent in English and French
