Job Description
In this position you are responsible for:
* Contribute to the successful execution of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and group reporting of STAAR Surgical AG and its non-US affiliates
* Support annual budgeting as well as monthly forecasting activities, including analysis of actual results vs. plan/prior period and discussion of same / outlook with the responsible department heads
* Assist in preparation and submission of periodic VAT/GST returns for relevant jurisdictions (such as Switzerland, Germany, or UK), including collaboration with external consultants and authorities
* Prepare, book VAT/GST related journal entries as well as analyze and reconcile VAT/GST accounts on a monthly basis
* Help ensure compliance with US SOX requirements and support internal and external financial audits
* Perform analyses and support finance projects as needed
Your profile
* Commercial apprenticeship or similar or high school diploma with relevant internships
* At least 2 years of relevant professional experience
* Very good English skills is a must, both in oral and written, French and/or German desirable, any other language is a plus
* Excellent professional IT Skills (especially in MS Office)
* Able to work in an international environment and in virtual teams, very well structured, organized, and flexible
