Role Outline
The purpose of the role is to manage defined client accounts independently, acting as the main point of contact for day‑to‑day and strategic discussions. The Senior Client Manager ensures smooth operations, drives strategic initiatives, and creates opportunities for specialists to contribute fully. This role combines leadership, strategic consulting, project management, and financial accountability to deliver exceptional client service and agency growth.
Role Responsibilities
* Act as independent main point of contact in day‑to‑day and strategic discussions for the designated clients
* Manage clients regarding efficient work deployment in consideration of the client contract
* Control fee and bonus and align client management with contractually defined KPIs
* Process briefings and client requests independently with critical consideration
* Independently solve clients’ problems, recognizing when to involve the supervisor
* Take all necessary measures to be a trusted partner, understand their business, issues, opportunities and objectives, and ensure maximum value for the agency’s services
* Work with MD, CD, Head of Investment and planners to develop ideas, strategic proposals and presentations that drive the client’s business forward and generate revenue growth for the agency
* Project‑manage client communication plans including timelines, budget, execution, reporting, learnings, insights, invoicing, etc.
* Oversee processes to ensure smooth financial operations
* Support CD with budget planning, forecasting and client requests
* Follow guidance, rules and complete tasks in a professional and timely manner for global clients
* Report proactively and regularly on all client activities
* Assist CD in developing an annual plan for each account’s development
* Collaborate across Dentsu and across the network, using product and service knowledge to drive client and agency value
* Review plans to enhance margin and value through innovation and better ways of working
* Support and motivate internal teams to produce best‑in‑class work
* Cross‑sell and up‑sell Dentsu and Merkle services
* Advise clients on holistic media strategies
* Develop clients’ understanding of media landscape transformation and opportunities
* Derive client strategies independently, demonstrating confidence and expertise in all media questions
* Confidently consult and present projects to clients
* Adhere to deadlines and quality standards of documents
