About the job Compliance Officer & Legal Counsel Switzerland (50 - 60%) Our client is a reputable financial institution committed to maintaining high compliance standards and ethical conduct. To support their Swiss operations, they are currently seeking a strategic and experienced Compliance Officer & Legal Counsel (50-60%) to take ownership of core regulatory and legal responsibilities.
Oversee and ensure adherence to regulatory compliance requirements
Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of compliance measures and controls
Identify and assess compliance risks and perform integrated control processes
Communicate with regulatory authorities on compliance topics
Conduct investigations into suspected breaches in collaboration with Legal & Internal Audit
Carry out compliance audits during the development of new internal policies
Manage whistleblowing and complaints processes
Provide regular compliance and ethics risk reports
Support the Legal function with legal assessments and documentation
Your profile: Several years of experience as a Compliance Officer in a financial institution in Switzerland
University degree in Law; bar admission is a plus
Strong sense of ethics, high integrity, and responsibility
Strategic thinker with a hands-on, self-driven approach
Excellent communication in German and English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus
