Summary
The Supplier Development Specialist plays a critical role in strengthening Mattr’s international supply chain by ensuring strategic suppliers consistently meet quality, delivery, capacity, and performance expectations. Based full‑time at a key supplier site in Cam Khe, Phú Thọ, Vietnam, this role acts as Mattr’s on‑the‑ground representative — driving supplier execution, managing qualification and development initiatives, mitigating risk, and enabling reliable supply to support global operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead day‑to‑day supplier execution for assigned international suppliers, ensuring alignment with purchase order commitments, delivery schedules, and capacity requirements.
* Act as the primary on‑site liaison between Mattr and the supplier, ensuring clear communication, alignment of priorities, and effective resolution of operational issues.
* Drive supplier development initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement to support current operations and future growth.
* Plan, execute, and monitor supplier qualification and development projects, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, timelines, and internal requirements.
* Monitor supplier production schedules, output, lead times, and constraints, proactively identifying risks related to capacity, delivery, or quality.
* Track and report supplier performance metrics, including on‑time delivery, quality, responsiveness, and capacity, using ERP systems and performance dashboards.
* Identify, manage, and escalation supplier risks in a timely and structured manner, providing clear, data‑driven updates and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
* Ensure HSE leadership and compliance, promoting Incident & Injury Free expectations and evaluating supplier HSE performance during audits and assessments.
* Maintain strict adherence to quality management systems and support supplier audits to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
* Collaborate cross‑functionally with supply chain, quality, engineering, and operations teams to support seamless execution and alignment across the value chain.
* Support strategic sourcing initiatives, including the evaluation, onboarding, and qualification of new international suppliers as business needs evolve.
Qualifications
* College diploma required; university degree preferred, ideally in supply chain, procurement, or a related field
* Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or supplier development within a manufacturing or industrial environment; 5+ years preferred
* Hands‑on experience with supplier qualification, audits, performance management, and supplier development programs
* Strong understanding of project execution, schedule adherence, risk identification, and escalation in a supplier‑focused environment
* Proficiency with ERP systems (IFS or similar) and supplier performance tracking tools
* Ability to work full‑time onsite at supplier facilities and travel within Vietnam as required
* Strong communication, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional coordination skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority
* Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to challenge existing processes and drive measurable performance improvements
* Fluency in English is required; bilingual proficiency in English and either Vietnamese or Chinese is preferred to support effective communication with internal teams and supplier partners
