The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering strong risk‑adjusted investment performance, supporting client relationships, contributing to Investment Committee discussions, and helping grow the firm’s discretionary portfolio management offering. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Portfolio Management /h3 ul liManage a portfolio of discretionary client mandates across a range of risk profiles. /li liMake investment recommendations and portfolio allocation decisions in line with client objectives and investment guidelines. /li liMonitor portfolio performance, risk exposures, liquidity, and suitability. /li liExecute portfolio changes and rebalancing activities as required. /li /ul h3Investment Market Research /h3 ul liContribute to Investment Committee discussions and investment decision‑making. /li liDevelop investment views across asset classes and identify portfolio opportunities. /li liConduct market, macroeconomic, and investment research to support portfolio positioning. /li liPrepare investment commentary, performance analysis, and portfolio reviews. /li /ul h3Client Business Development /h3 ul liParticipate in client meetings, portfolio reviews, and prospective client pitches. /li liSupport Relationship Managers and Front Office teams in growing discretionary assets under management. /li liPresent investment strategy, market views, and portfolio performance to clients and internal stakeholders. /li /ul h3Risk, Governance Operations /h3 ul liEnsure portfolios remain compliant with mandates, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. /li liOversee portfolio risk management, cash management, and control processes. /li liLiaise with Compliance, Risk, Operations, and Technology teams to ensure efficient portfolio implementation. /li /ul h3Essential Criteria /h3 ul liCFA Charterholder. /li liStrong experience in portfolio management, asset management, or institutional investing. /li liDeep understanding of portfolio construction, asset allocation, and investment risk management. /li liExperience presenting investment recommendations and market views to clients and senior stakeholders. /li liExcellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills. /li liAdvanced Excel skills; Bloomberg proficiency welcome. /li liFluent English speaker. /li /ul h3Desirable Criteria /h3 ul liFrench language skills. /li liExperience managing discretionary portfolios for HNW/UHNW clients. /li liVBA, Python, or other quantitative/investment analytics experience. /li liDegree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline. /li /ul pThis role is based in Geneva. /p h3Purpose of the role /h3 pTo generate returns, manage risk, and ensure the portfolio’s financial stability and long‑term success. /p h3Accountabilities /h3 ul liAllocation and monitoring of securities within a portfolio, aligned to the bank’s risk tolerance and framework, investment objectives and regulatory requirements, utilising specialist software and data analytics tools to enhance portfolio management efficiency and effectiveness. /li liExecution of research and analysis on various securities (equity, bond, funds) to identify profitable investment opportunities, aligned to the bank’s risk tolerance. /li liCommunication of the bank’s investment philosophy, decision making and investment selection to clients and other key stakeholders such as Relationship Managers and Investment Advisors. /li liPerformance monitoring against benchmarks and objectives, analysing risk metrics, and creation of reports for senior colleagues and internal stakeholders. /li liImplementation of risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate potential financial risks associated with the portfolio, such as market fluctuations, credit risk, and liquidity risk. /li liConducting simulations to assess the portfolio’s resilience to different market scenarios and economic downturns, identifying potential vulnerabilities and informing risk mitigation strategies, and communicating key findings to senior executives and board members. /li liMonitoring economic data, industry news, and geopolitical events to anticipate potential impacts on the portfolio and adjust strategies accordingly. /li liResearch of emerging asset classes, innovative investment strategies, and alternative investments to potentially enhance portfolio returns. /li liStakeholder management of investment banks, market makers, and other external partners as needed for portfolio transactions and information gathering. /li /ul h3Vice President Expectations /h3 ul liTo contribute or set strategy, drive requirements and make recommendations for change.
