At PAVE Space, we are redefining in-space logistics with autonomous and mobile spacecraft. Our mission is to revolutionize satellite deployment and orbit transfer through the development of a next-generation heavy Kickstage: a vehicle designed to accelerate orbit raising and optimize access to higher orbits.
The PAVE Kickstage will be capable of transferring satellites of more than 4 tons from LEO or GTO to GEO in under 24 hours.
We are looking for an experienced, hands‑on Accounting Specialist to build and scale our accounting infrastructure from the ground up. This is a high‑impact role for someone with a strong audit foundation and private industry experience in manufacturing or product‑driven environments.
Your Mission
You will design, implement, and lead the accounting setup of a fast‑growing company with complex production and inventory flows. Beyond closing the books and create a finance backbone that supports operational growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Own end‑to‑end accounting operations, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
* Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions
* Design and improve scalable reporting structures and accounting processes
* Establish cost accounting and inventory processes aligned with production flows
* Manage cash flow and perform bank reconciliations
* Ensure compliance with Swiss GAAP (OR/CO) and local tax regulations, including tax filings
* Collaborate with and manage external stakeholders (auditors, tax advisors, payroll providers)
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
* Drive automation and optimization of accounting processes and ERP systems
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* 3+ years of relevant accounting experience (startup experience is a plus)
* Strong knowledge of Swiss GAAP (OR/CO) and local tax regulations
* Proficiency with accounting software / ERP systems
* High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
* Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment
* Strong English communication and problem‑solving skills (French is a plus)
Nice to Have:
* Familiarity with Swiss payroll and social security systems
* Exposure to FP&A
* Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA)
* Experience in a private company, ideally within:
o Aerospace
o Automotive
o Semiconductors
o Hardware‑intensive or manufacturing environment
