Job Description
As a SharePoint On-premises/M365 Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our team, responsible for developing and maintaining applications in both SharePoint on-premises and the M365 platform. Your primary focus will be on technical development, ensuring a seamless transition to the M365Cloud and daily business operations. Here are your essential responsibilities for this role:
Development
1. Understand, design, implement & maintain O365, SharePoint on-premises and Power Platforms solutions;
2. Create comprehensive solutions based on SharePoint object model, Microsoft Power platforms components like Power App, Power Automate and SharePoint;
3. Create detailed design artifact like program specifications and test plans;
4. Independently develop and review code to meet quality standards;
5. Design and implement solutions aligned with business strategy, security requirements and compliance guidelines.
Migration Strategy and Execution:
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute migration strategies for transitioning from on-premises systems to M365;
7. Specifically, manage migrations related to SharePoint, file shares, OneDrive and Teams;
8. Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance during the migration process.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
9. Provide technical assistance to end-users, addressing SharePoint-related issues promptly;
10. Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to SharePoint and M365;
11. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance system performance and user experience.
Requirements
12. Strong knowledge of SharePoint architecture, features, and functionalities;
13. Proficient in SharePoint migration tools such as Sharegate, SPMT or Metalogix etc.;
14. Skilled in server-side languages such as C# and .NET Framework and familiarity in client-side languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React or Angular;
15. Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate);
16. Certification in Microsoft 365 or SharePoint is a plus.
17. Strong critical thinking skills to understand business pain points and propose effective solutions;
18. Experience in financial services and / or asset management is of advantage;
19. Excellent English oral and written communication skills; German is a plus.
