Position
In a global and cross‑functional environment, the System Development department is responsible for workflow optimization and the successful integration of hardware, software, consumables and reagents to finally perform the system verification of diagnostics instruments.
As a System Integration Troubleshooter, you will work as a part of a cross‑functional team on the development or product care of complex diagnostics systems consisting of fluidics, robotics software, thermal, electrical, mechanical and biochemistry elements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct root‑cause investigations of systemic issues found during development or escalated from field or Operations in all lifecycle phases (from early feasibility to product care), and collaborate with other functions to develop solutions for complex issues.
- Build subject‑matter expertise and provide support to the RMD Development Teams (Assay‑, Software‑ and Instrument‑Development), Global Customer Support (GCS), Case Investigation and Resolution (CIR) and Operations, requiring close cross‑department interaction.
- Perform internal repair visits, retrofitting of mechanical parts, configuration management monitoring and tracking, and installing or updating Instrument Software.
- Plan assigned Workpackages independently and monitor and track working progress.
- Conduct integration development activities on system component level, closely interacting with project teams, and coordinating with other internal groups and departments.
- Perform statistical data analysis to support root‑cause investigation & problem solving, risk assessment, product development, and process improvement.
Qualifications
- Degree in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently, handling cross‑departmental development tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English and German.
- Strong analytical and interdisciplinary thinking.
- Experience in statistical data analysis.
