This role is focused on managing and optimizing our multi-tenant virtualization, Kubernetes infrastructure, storage platform, and backup infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Virtualization, Linux, and Security.
We are seeking a highly skilled System Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for:
* Managing, optimizing, and securing our multi-tenant virtualization, Kubernetes infrastructure, storage platform, and backup infrastructure. Supporting activities related to VMware, Veeam, and Microsoft products as needed.
* Delivering high-quality solutions from inception to production, focusing on automation, security, reliability, and manageability.
* Contributing to the continuous updating and maintenance of hardware and software platforms, ensuring security and performance best practices.
* Participating in hardware installations and system startup activities to ensure seamless and secure deployments.
* Supporting onboarding of new applications and projects, implementing automated deployment, change management, and monitoring processes.
* Coordinating with internal and external partners, including project teams, vendors, and suppliers, to maintain operational standards.
* Ensuring comprehensive technical documentation and driving continuous operational improvements.
* Involvement in incident, change, and problem management processes to enhance system stability and security.
The successful candidate will possess:
* At least 5+ years of professional experience as a System Engineer, focusing on Virtualization, Linux, and Security.
* Good knowledge of VMware, Veeam, and Microsoft products.
* Experience with container-based applications on Kubernetes is highly appreciated.
* Holding certifications such as VMware VCP (DTC or NV), Veeam (preferred), or cloud certifications like AWS or Azure is a plus.
* Passionate about technology, security, and open-source solutions, with a desire to learn new tools and methodologies.
* Fluent in Italian and English.
* Excellent communication skills, team-oriented, and able to interface effectively with clients.
* Detail-oriented, results-driven, and able to work under deadlines and shifting priorities.
