For a client of ours in Basel, we are currently looking for a Interim Supply Chain Management Director PMO (m/w/d) 100% who will play a key role in overseeing and coordinating supply chain activities across complex technical projects. In this leadership position, you will be responsible for ensuring that procurement, logistics, inventory management, and related processes are effectively planned and executed in alignment with project timelines and business objectives.
Your Responsibilities
* End-to-End Supply Chain Oversight: Manage and coordinate all supply chain activities within projects, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, tooling, and material availability, ensuring alignment with project timelines and deliverables
* Team Leadership and Development: Lead and support a team of Supply Chain Project Managers embedded within multidisciplinary project teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
* Resource Planning: Evaluate project needs and allocate supply chain resources effectively to ensure optimal project execution
* Establish Governance and Standards: Develop and implement clear governance frameworks, project management standards, and best practices to maintain consistency, transparency, and control across supply chain projects
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the main supply chain interface within project teams, working closely with business units and functional leaders to ensure alignment and smooth execution
* Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track key supply chain metrics, project milestones, budgets, and risks while providing regular updates and reports to senior management and relevant stakeholders
* Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to internal policies, external regulations, and safety standards while integrating risk management practices throughout all project phases
* Promote Digital Tools and Transparency: Support the implementation and use of digital project and supply chain tools to enhance transparency, collaboration, and real-time project tracking
Your Profile
* Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline
* Approximately 10+ years of professional experience in supply chain management combined with program or project management
* Certification in project management such as PMP, PRINCE2, or similar
* Strong knowledge of procurement, logistics, inventory management, and tooling processes
* Experience in highly regulated or project-driven industries
* Fluent in English, with German and/or French considered an advantage
* Proficiency in ERP and project management tools such as SAP, MS Project, or comparable systems
* Strong leadership and communication skills with a collaborative mindset
* Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as EASA or FAA is beneficial
* Additional qualifications such as Lean or Six Sigma are considered a plus
