Impact
As a Software Engineer on this squad, you will help keep our high‑scale integration infrastructure reliable and evolving while exploring how these systems will serve the next generation of AI‑driven workflows.
What You Will Do Daily
Deliver Features on the Integration Core. Implement well‑scoped backend features that keep our DevOps Platform integrations reliable and extensible — repository importing, binding, authentication, and webhook processing.
Own Your Code from Local to Cloud. Write clean, testable Java code and own your work from local development to production. Deploy to AWS, monitor service health through metrics and logs, and troubleshoot production issues to maintain high availability for our users.
Enable Other Squads. Contribute to the libraries and APIs that other engineering teams use to interact with DevOps platforms. Small improvements here have a multiplying effect across the organization.
Contribute to Agentic Workflow Features. Build and test connectors and APIs that allow agents to consume Sonar context and act within DevOps platforms, building practical experience with emerging patterns like MCP.
AI‑Native Engineering. Use AI assistants pragmatically to speed up low‑level tasks while keeping full responsibility for architecture and quality.
Collaborate & Grow. Review PRs, write documentation, and participate in design discussions. Learn from staff engineers and contribute your own perspective.
The Experience You Will Need
Solid Backend Engineering (3+ years). Track record of building and maintaining backend systems, clean testable code, and attention to detail.
Java Proficiency. Comfortable with the Java ecosystem and navigating a large, established codebase.
Cloud or Distributed Systems Fundamentals. Understanding of services communication in a distributed environment — REST APIs, message queues, async processing. Hands‑on experience with AWS (or equivalent) and comfort with deployment, logging, and observability basics.
Ownership Mindset. Own the delivery of tasks, raise risks early, and meet high‑quality standards before production.
Curiosity About AI and Agentic Systems. Excited about future of software development. Experience with LLM APIs is a plus, but genuine curiosity and willingness to learn matter.

Job Location
While this role is advertised for Lausanne, the primary team hub and physical office for this position are located in Geneva. We welcome candidates from across the area who are excited to join our Geneva‑based hub under our hybrid working model.
