We are recruiting on behalf of a global leader in supply chain operations for the position of Business Analyst (Temporary Assignment – 7 Months)

• Contract: Temporary (7 months)
• Location: Pratteln, Switzerland
• Workload: Full-time (40 hours/week)
• Homeoffice: Up to 2–3 days/week
• Travel Requirement: Approx. 2 business trips within Europe during the assignment
Position Overview
We are seeking a self-driven and analytical Business Analyst to join the supply chain development organization of a global company during a 7-month temporary assignment. In this role, you will support business navigation and performance analysis through data-driven insights, with a strong focus on Power BI and stakeholder collaboration.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and adaptable professional who thrives in international environments and enjoys turning complex data into tangible business value. You will work closely with an experienced and multicultural team across several European locations.
In addition to data analysis, this role includes contributing to resource planning, scenario modelling, and fact-based decision-making processes. You will be part of a function that helps define and prioritise improvement activities with an end-to-end perspective, based on sound data structures and transparency.
Main Responsibilities
1. Build and maintain interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI
2. Support development and standardization of performance indicators and reporting structures
3. Analyse business scenarios and provide actionable, fact-based insights to stakeholders
4. Collaborate with data engineers and enterprise architects to access data flows and enhance analysis tools
5. Engage with stakeholders across Business Navigation, System Business Analysis, and Data Science
6. Drive process improvements, scenario modelling, and internal knowledge sharing
7. Enable fact-based decision making by translating complex data into clear business implications
8. Promote performance focus and business understanding within the wider team
Your Profile
You are a structured and proactive professional with a strong analytical mindset and a drive for continuous improvement. You enjoy working with data and stakeholders to simplify complexity and translate business challenges into actionable solutions. You are comfortable navigating both business and technical environments, and you thrive in cross-functional, multicultural settings.
Must-Haves
* Proven hands-on experience with Power BI
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)
* Experience working in international and cross-functional teams
* Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to changing priorities
* Strong capability to translate business needs into data-driven solutions and reporting tools
* High attention to detail, quality, and structured thinking
Nice-to-Haves:
• Experience with Agile methodology and JIRA
• Familiarity with data flows and enterprise data architecture
• First experience in business navigation, finance, or supply chain environments
• Background in process improvement or reporting standardization
• Knowledge of SQL and Python (or other scripting languages a plus)
