As a System Engineer specializing in Virtualization, you are instrumental in maintaining and designing Swisscom's Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). Your role is vital for ensuring our platform’s infrastructure operates smoothly, utilizing cutting-edge VMware technologies and automation tools to optimize performance.
* Effectively manage a variety of critical virtualization services across Switzerland
* Participate in operations to ensure stable and uninterrupted service delivery
* Collaborate on improvement and development of infrastructure automation
* Leverage creative freedom in a dynamic and agile environment
* Design and innovate across a wide range of products and technologies
* Engage in operations and development, focusing on stable environments and automation
* Handle infrastructure as code and configuration management using Ansible and Python
* Experience with virtualization solutions like VMware vSphere; vCloud Director is an advantage
* Proficiency in troubleshooting to perform on-call operation duty
* Fluent in German or English
* Working knowledge of scripting languages like Python or PowerShell
* Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible
* Knowledge of monitoring solutions like Prometheus & Grafana is an advantage
