Job Description Business Risk Manager - Transaction Monitoring On behalf of our client, a Swiss private bank of international reach and human scale, we are seeking a Business Risk Manager – Transaction Monitoring. Reporting directly to the Head of Business Risk Management, you will join a dynamic team and play a central role within the bank’s enhanced first line of defence, ensuring robust transactional risk controls while acting as a key partner to the Front Office. Your Responsibilities Transaction Monitoring & Controls Analyse and validate incoming and outgoing flows (cash and securities) Review transactions, including for PEP and High-Risk clients, ensuring proper supporting documentation Investigate and close alerts generated by transaction monitoring tools Act as a back-up for Market Heads in validating client instructions Client Activity Oversight & Risk Management Monitor transactional activity and ensure alignment between KYT, KYC, and regulatory requirements Produce control reports and ensure proper documentation and traceability Manage client account blocking and unblocking processes Provide guidance to Front Office on complex or sensitive cases Stakeholder Interaction & Reporting Act as a key liaison between Private Bankers, Risk, and Compliance teams Support senior stakeholders (Head of BRM, Head of Private Banking) on risk-related matters Contribute to KPIs, reporting, and continuous improvement of the control framework Perform quality control checks to ensure the robustness of processes Profile Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, or equivalent Around 5 years of experience in Switzerland, ideally combining audit and a similar role in private banking / wealth management Strong expertise in transaction monitoring, AML, and Swiss regulatory requirements Advanced proficiency in Excel and reporting tools Fluent in French and English (additional languages are a plus) Personal Skills Analytical, rigorous, and risk-aware with strong attention to detail Business-oriented with a pragmatic, solution-driven mindset Strong communication skills and ability to interact with multiple stakeholders Proactive, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure High level of discretion and integrity
