Project: One of our biggest telecom client is looking for Finance Transformation Manager in Zurich Region
Responsibilities and Duties:
*Project Management & Execution: Lead and manage end-to-end finance transformation projects (e.g., from target operating model design to implementation), ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and achieve stated objectives. Five years' experience minimum.
*Process Optimization: Analyze current state financial processes (e.g., Plan-to-Perform, Record-to-Report) to identify inefficiencies and design optimized future-state processes leveraging best practices and technology.
*Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between the Finance function and other business units and external vendors, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and buy-in for transformation initiatives.
*Change Management & Training: Develop and execute change management strategies to facilitate the adoption of new processes and systems, including developing training materials and conducting training sessions for finance users.
Requirements: Must haves:
*Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Proven ability to understand the strategic goals of the finance function and translate them into practical, detailed project plans and solutions, coupled with strong analytical problem-solving skills.
*Deep Finance Knowledge: Holistic understanding of finance operating models, solid understanding of core finance/accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure solutions are functionally sound and address user needs.
*Advanced Project Management: Several years of project management experience using formal project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile) and tools, specifically for large-scale enterprise-wide projects
*Technology Fluency: Experience with Financial Systems including SAP S/4 and Financial Planning and Analytics systems, as well as an understanding of key technologies driving finance transformation, such as predictive analytics, agentic AI and data visualization tools.
*Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and effectively influence outcomes across all organizational levels.
