VF International Sagl is looking for a Global Apparel Designer (Designer di abbigliamento globale) to join the team in Stabio (TI) at full time, starting 01.09.2026 and permanent.
Responsibilities
* Ideate, design and execute creative projects for the global product and creative department, including men's and women's apparel.
* Use design skills to create products that meet value and cost expectations.
* Interact continuously with category team members in product development to ensure proper execution for the target consumers.
* Ensure design is functional and satisfies merchandising business needs.
* Create models that reflect current trends while staying true to brand identity.
* Design technical apparel using natural fibres.
* Support seasonal storytelling and colour direction through in-depth trend, market and competitive research, providing moodboards and concept boards.
* Work closely with Product Director, Senior Design Lead, Developer, Technical Designer and Merchandiser for the assigned category/style.
* Support design, development, approval and use of all accessories.
* Collaborate with product development team to meet style, fit, quality and detail requirements.
* Meet accuracy and on‑time delivery expectations in line with the product timeline.
* Facilitate agile decision‑making for prototype review and modification.
* Create complete technical sheets in Illustrator with detailed drawings to communicate instructions clearly to development team.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Fashion/ Product Design or equivalent.
* Collaborative, flexible, positive, and problem‑solving mindset.
* 3–5 years of experience designing apparel for comparable brands or organizations.
* Fluent English essential; additional language knowledge is a plus.
* Portfolio demonstrating a range of skills, design and development knowledge, relevance and consumer awareness.
* Adobe Creative Suite proficiency.
* Proficiency in 3D product creation software such as Browswear, CLO.
* Microsoft Office skills.
* Knowledge of pattern cutting and construction techniques.
* Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment and adapt to change.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Team‑work ability in inter‑functional project support.
* Strong customer‑centric collaboration within cross‑functional teams.
* Effective problem‑solving skills.
* Attention to detail.
* Strong presentation skills.
