Middleby Residential is a collection of premier international consumer brands dedicated to manufacturing and distributing many of the best known and loved kitchen appliances and interior furnishings in the world.
The District Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the sales efforts for Middleby Residential brands in your assigned region. This position will take ownership of driving brand awareness, channel revenue, profitability, and growth targets across all assigned regional accounts within the territory. Working under the VP of Sales East, you will partner with sales leaders, including Brand Developers and Channel Leaders, to ensure optimal sales performance in line with overall brand and distribution sales strategies and targets. You will work to enhance and expand account presence while driving both in-store and online success. Collaboration with internal stakeholders is essential to ensure the success of corporate sales strategies.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
1. Act as a long-term visionary to grow current account business and identify emerging opportunities, aiming to increase market share, sales revenue, and profit margins at all dealers.
2. Identify and achieve channel sales targets through the execution of selling strategies.
3. Own sales performance metrics to ensure business success, including customer dashboards, operational metrics, and revenue generation.
4. Manage all dealer channels within the territory for the entire Middleby Residential portfolio, including onsite visits, training, and account management, typically spending 4+ days in the field per week.
5. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate and deliver brand success through national accounts, engaging with the Director of E-Commerce, Marketing, Brand Developers, Builder Sales Team, and Specialty Sales Channel managers.
6. Serve as the primary contact for product information, sales programming, training, and general sales management within the territory.
7. Identify, secure, and complete display opportunities within the territory.
8. Maintain relationships with key customers to ensure strong and growing partnerships.
9. Evaluate market trends on regional and brand basis, communicating findings to sales and brand leadership.
10. Report on market activities, opportunities, and challenges, and analyze sales data to identify opportunities for customer experience improvement and conversion rate enhancement.
11. Lead contract negotiations and oversee onboarding and measurement of new customer partnerships for online sales where applicable.
12. Manage promotional calendar and strategy for UMRP pricing and monitoring within accounts.
13. Prospect for potential new accounts to carry Middleby Residential brands.
14. Manage dealer account activation and utilization of the MidRes Dealer Portal.
15. Conduct live trainings and product demos as opportunities allow.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree or higher.
2. Minimum 5 years of sales management experience.
3. Experience in account management, strategic planning, and business development is desired.
4. Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
5. Experience setting and managing sales targets and forecasts.
6. High sense of urgency, excellent time management, and prioritization skills.
7. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
