Bartender
Full-time employment as a bartender earns $50,000 – $70,000 annually, including participation in Viking's gratuity program.

Role Overview
The bartender will support the Restaurant Manager to ensure efficient operations of all bar lounges, bars, restaurants, special events and guest areas where beverage service activities take place.
The bartender will report to the Assistant Restaurant Manager in our onboard Restaurant, River Café, Explorers' Lounge and Room Service.

About Your Job Onboard
* Prepare and serve drinks according to company standards while maintaining in-depth knowledge of bar menus to deliver exceptional STAR service.
* Tally sales transactions, follow accounting procedures and correctly tally bar revenue.
* Ensure cost control and conduct stock takes.
* Ensure assigned areas are set up properly in time, maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards, uphold grooming standards, and wear appropriate PPE.
* Assist in setup and execution of F&B ship functions and special events.
* Work 10-12 weeks straight on the ship followed by 3 weeks vacation (schedule & rotation may fluctuate depending on occupancy and staffing needs).
About You
* 2+ years' experience as Bartender or similar at a 5-Star hospitality and/or restaurant environment; shipboard experience is an advantage.
* Must be 21+ years old; physically fit and in good health; must be able to carry heavy items and stand, kneel and bend for prolonged periods of time.
* Guest-focused, service-oriented, positive personality, professional appearance and impeccable hygiene standards.
* Excellent knowledge of all public health policies.
Mandatory Requirements & At Will Employment
* U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (green card) to work onboard the ship, as required by federal regulations.
* Ability to satisfactorily pass a pre-employment drug test.
