Role Description
As Manager, you own client relationships end-to-end and lead delivery across financial accounting, monthly/quarterly reporting, statutory closings, and corporate housekeeping. You translate messy realities into reliable numbers and actionable board-level insights. You manage multiple mandates in parallel, coach junior colleagues, and act as a calm point of control for deadlines, stakeholders, and quality.
You will work across Swiss GAAP/OR financial statements, tax-relevant accounting topics, VAT touchpoints, audit readiness, and corporate governance obligations. Where clients need more than “compliance”, you step in with structured analysis and options—always anchored in Swiss requirements and commercial outcomes.
Key responsibilities
* Lead and review monthly and annual closings under Swiss OR; ensure clean reconciliations and documentation
* Prepare and review statutory financial statements and notes; coordinate audit deliverables and timelines
* Own client communication: status, risks, decisions required, and clear next steps
* Manage corporate housekeeping (board/shareholder resolutions, signatures, filings, governance calendars)
* Provide hands-on advisory on accounting, capital matters, distributions, intercompany topics, and reporting improvements
* Oversee VAT coding logic and controls; support VAT filings and clarification of tricky transactions
* Improve processes: templates, checklists, internal controls, and client-facing reporting packs
* Lead and develop team members; set quality standards and review work pragmatically
Qualifications
* 5–10+ years in fiduciary services, audit, accounting advisory, or corporate finance environment in Switzerland
* Strong Swiss OR accounting and closing experience; confident with statutory financial statements
* Solid understanding of Swiss corporate governance and corporate housekeeping practices
* Client-facing leadership: you can run meetings, resolve issues, and keep delivery on track
* High quality bar: structured thinking, clean workpapers, and disciplined deadline management
* Fluent English; German working proficiency (client-facing) is a strong advantage
* Comfortable with common accounting systems and Excel; you document and standardise as you go
