The Role

Senior Hardware Product User Experience Designer

Level: I3

Location: Lausanne, Switzerland

Working model: Hybrid (2–3 days/week in the office)

We’re looking for a Senior Hardware Product User Experience Designer who thrives in complexity, precision and enjoys turning technical systems into simple, elegant user experiences. You’ll be part of Logitech’s Global User Experience team, supporting both the Gaming and Personal Workspace categories — two of the company’s most dynamic and fast-evolving business groups.

This is a unique hybrid role combining:

1. Hardware Product User Experience design on platform topics such as connectivity and product behavior. You will create guidelines to harmonize experiences across products.

2. Keyboard layout design, requiring high attention to detail, precision, and strong visual craft.

You are a systems thinker with strong product instincts, equally comfortable designing high-level architecture and crafting pixel-perfect layouts. You care deeply about how things work—not just how they look—and you’re motivated by solving real user problems across hardware and software.

Responsibilities

Product & Platform Experience

3. Design end-to-end product experiences across hardware interactions with firmware and software in mind

4. Contribute to platform-level UX topics (e.g., connectivity, device behaviors, system interactions)

5. Translate complex technical constraints into clear, intuitive user experiences

6. Define information architecture and interaction models for complex systems

Keyboard Layout Design

7. Own and design complex keyboard layouts across multiple products, operating systems, and regions

8. Create precise, production-ready layout files with strong attention to detail

9. Ensure consistency across languages, markets, and product lines

10. Collaborate closely with hardware, engineering, and localization teams to align on constraints

11. Maintain and evolve standards, guidelines, and assets for keyboard layouts

Logitech Design System Contribution

12. Contribute to the evolution of the Logitech Design System

13. Define and document platform (e.g., Bluetooth Connectivity) and product guidelines (e.g., Webcam guidelines)

14. Ensure alignment between design and engineering implementation (design ↔ firmware engineering)

15. Identify opportunities to standardize and scale solutions across products and platforms

16. Actively contribute to consistency across Logitech product experiences

17. Collaborate with design system and platform teams to improve reusability and quality

Key Qualifications

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:

Design & Systems Thinking

18. Strong experience designing complex consumer hardware products

19. Strong portfolio showcasing hardware design solutions (e.g., consumer electronics, mobile, ergonomic products, etc.)

20. Ability to translate product work into reusable guidelines

21. Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies

Craft & Execution

22. Strong visual and interaction design skills with a high bar for quality and detail

23. Excellent understanding of typography, layout and visual hierarchy

24. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to deliver production-ready assets

25. Understanding of localization challenge, typography, and spatial constraints

Tools & Technical

26. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator

27. Experience with Figma

28. 3D application is a plus

Collaboration & Communication

29. Experience working closely with engineering and product teams

30. Strong storytelling and presentation skills

31. Strong in communication with multiple stakeholders and teams

32. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and fast-paced environments
