Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
* At least 4 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
* Experience working on product workflows in regulated sectors such as healthcare, finance, or privacy-focused products.
* Include a portfolio, website, or relevant link to your work in your resume (with viewable link or access instructions).
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience defining information architecture by organizing and prioritizing information displayed to users, with an understanding of complex technical domains.
* Experience creating service design artifacts such as user journeys, user flows, entry and exit points.
* Ability to analyze data through decision trees, multi-level distributions, topologies, etc.

Design and user experience (UX) are central to our work. The role of an Interaction Designer involves envisioning how users experience our products and translating that vision into inspiring, refined, and engaging designs. You will manage complex tasks, transforming them into intuitive, accessible, and user-friendly designs for billions worldwide—from first-time users to experts. This requires collaboration with Designers, Researchers, Engineers, and Product Managers throughout the design process, from creating user flows and wireframes to building mockups and prototypes. You will anticipate user needs, advocate for them, and ensure the final product delights and surprises them.
Google's UX team comprises multidisciplinary professionals, including Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers. We gather insights into user attitudes, emotions, and behaviors to inspire and inform our designs. Collaboration across teams helps us create industry-leading products that deliver value to users and Google’s business.
The Core team develops the technical foundation of Google’s flagship products, owning and advocating for design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure. We build central solutions, break down barriers, and enhance existing systems, impacting technical decisions across Google.
Responsibilities
* Provide observability over Google's privacy infrastructure, ensuring tooling is simple and understandable for users.
* Address various use cases stemming from Google's technical ecosystem, including different policies, systems, and stacks.
* Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
* Communicate the user experience through wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, or high-fidelity prototypes.
* Incorporate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product experience updates.
