Our client, a large-scale life sciences manufacturing site, is looking for a PI (Plant Information) Engineer (d/f/m) to support and continuously develop its site-wide infrastructure and services in the Basel/Kaiseraugst area.
As a PI (Plant Information) Engineer, you are part of the Pharma Engineering Drug Product environment based in Basel / Kaiseraugst, responsible for innovative, GMP-compliant engineering and the reliable operation of complex production facilities in galenics and packaging, supporting business partners from the initial idea through project execution to lifecycle management of systems. In this role, you act as an interface between Production, Pharma Engineering, and IT/OT, actively shaping the digital landscape of the production site by maintaining existing systems while building the data structure of the future.
Tasks & Responsibilities
1. System Architect: Responsible for connecting automation systems to the data historian (AVEVA PI), including interface configuration and continuous lifecycle maintenance
2. Solution Design: Analyze requirements for the PI system together with internal business partners and implement optimal, GMP-compliant solutions
3. Project Management: Plan and execute PI historian-focused projects from specification through handover to operations
4. Operations & Support: Ensure system administration and stable operation together with the team, including troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and deviation handling
5. Compliance: Manage change-control processes as well as qualification and validation activities in line with internal guidelines
