Head of Sales – APIs
Headcount AG has been exclusively retained to identify a commercially driven leader for a senior leadership position within a leading international pharmaceutical ingredients company.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead the API commercial organization while driving strategic growth initiatives, developing key customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities across international markets.
This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who combines strong commercial instincts with proven people leadership and a deep understanding of APIs, pharmaceutical ingredients, CDMO services, or related pharmaceutical markets.
Your Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the API sales organization
* Drive commercial growth and business development activities
* Manage strategic customer relationships and key accounts
* Support supplier partnerships and market expansion initiatives
* Contribute to the company’s commercial strategy and future growth
Your Profile
* Significant experience within APIs, pharmaceutical ingredients, CDMO services, or related sectors
* Proven track record in sales, business development, or commercial leadership
* Experience leading and developing teams
* Strong network within the pharmaceutical industry
* Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands‑on approach
