For strategic projects in the banking IT sector, we are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a team dedicated to ensuring the quality of complex application systems.
The Role
You will join a structured QA team, contributing to the quality of critical software platforms through a modern approach based on automation and continuous integration.
What You Will Do
Design and develop scalable, reusable test automation frameworks
Automate testing for APIs (REST), backend services, and enterprise applications
Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, or similar)
Collaborate with development and architecture teams in microservices and distributed systems environments
Contribute to defining the test strategy and adopting quality-by-design practices
Perform functional and integration testing, quickly identifying issues and bottlenecks
Who We Are Looking For
At least 5 years of experience in software testing within IT environments
Hands-on experience in test automation for web applications, APIs, and backend systems
Strong knowledge of tools such as Selenium, SoapUI / Postman, and JMeter
Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, or similar)
Knowledge of one or more programming languages among Java, Python, JavaScript, or Groovy
Good knowledge of databases (SQL)
Fluent in Italian and at least B2 level in English
Strong quality-oriented mindset and problem-solving approach
Nice to Have
Experience in banking / fintech environments
ISTQB certification
Experience with microservices architectures / containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
Knowledge of Robot Framework
Experience in performance testing
