Job Overview
AWS Global Sales (AGS) drives revenue, adoption, and growth from large small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers, including public sector. Solutions Architects at Amazon Web Services (AWS) build technical relationships with customers and design architectures for solutions in the Retail and Consumer Goods industry.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with AWS customers, industry domain experts, and partners to create architectures that solve Retail and Consumer Goods industry challenges.
Design and build cloud-based solutions, refine and scale them in partnership with AWS Professional Services, AWS Partners, and customers.
Apply hands‑on experience in application integration design, micro‑services, and component‑based architectures, coupled with industry domain expertise such as applied AI and solution development.
Develop best‑practice technical content, reference architectures, white papers, code samples, and blog posts.
Educate and evangelize AWS technology and industry trends through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos, or conferences.
Travel up to 30% of the time.
Basic Qualifications
* 8+ years of experience in specific technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
* Experience leading or developing high‑quality, enterprise‑scale software products using a structured system development lifecycle.
* Ability to communicate across technical and non‑technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients.
* Knowledge of cloud architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience in specific technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
* Experience working with end user or developer communities.
* Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
* Experience with Generative AI and agentic AI solutions in enterprise contexts.
