Our tools for synthesis, sampling, reaction analysis, and insights help scientists deliver life-changing products. Our industry-leading software solutions, including the iC Suite and Scale-Up Systems, enable customers to manage, optimize, and improve experiments and production scale-up. We are seeking a Head of Software Solutions (all genders).The Head of the Strategic Product Group (SPG) of Software Solutions will oversee AutoChem’s software portfolio, including instrument control, data orchestration, and modeling solutions. Leading a team across Nänikon Switzerland, Dublin Ireland, and Columbia Maryland USA, this leadership role will drive the strategic direction, growth, and performance of our software offerings, aligning with company strategy, P&L goals, and organizational capabilities.Your Responsibilities:Achieve and surpass sales growth objectives for the SPG, focusing on revenue, unit growth, and profitability, with a 5-year CAGR target. Develop strategies for product lines and segments.Expand market share, identify new market segments, oversee pricing strategies, and adapt to external trends.Ensure seamless operation across all areas including software releases, training, marketing, competitor analysis, and pricing.Implement industry best practices in go-to-market strategies, channel management, and commercial approaches.Manage the product portfolio, lifecycle, and development roadmap.Collaborate on partnerships and M&A opportunities for growth.Lead new product development teams, balancing PLM processes with agility to meet strategic goals and deliver superior customer outcomes.Work closely with other SPG heads and R&D to develop integrated solutions that meet customer needs and foster growth.Maintain relationships with key customers and stay informed about market developments.Support instrument control software solutions for successful NPDI projects with a service-oriented approach.Develop organizational talent and succession pipelines.Stay updated on industry trends and adapt organizational strategies accordingly.Requirements to Succeed:Academic degree in a scientific, technical, or business discipline with at least ten years of management experience, including five years of people management.Strong knowledge of software related to instrument control, data orchestration, modeling, Data Sciences, and AI/ML; experience in analytical instruments or pharma sectors is a plus.Ability to engage strategically with customers and collaborate across disciplines.Experience with pricing, value propositions, and stage-gate processes for product development.Strong business acumen, leadership, and communication skills.Willingness to travel globally (~30%) to lead dispersed teams and engage stakeholders.Fluent in English; additional languages are advantageous.What We Offer:Flexible hours, hybrid work model, and extensive training opportunities.40-hour workweek, minimum 25 vacation days, plus additional days off.Free parking and access to public transport.Onsite healthy lunches at our METTLER TOLEDO restaurant with employee discounts.Additional benefits including discounts at local businesses.Join us for challenging and rewarding tasks in an innovative, international environment with global networking opportunities and career growth.
