Overview
The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is seeking a part‑time 50% HR Coordinator. The EBU is the world’s leading alliance of public service media, representing over 100 media organisations across Europe and beyond.
HR Department
The Human Resources Department plays a strategic role in enabling a collaborative, inclusive and high‑performing work environment. Managing HR activities for staff in Geneva and internationally, the team is committed to attracting, developing and retaining diverse talent through consistent, people‑centred HR practices.
Principal Responsibilities
* Act as Executive Assistant to the Director of Human Resources, including calendar management, meeting preparation, confidential support and coordination with other EAs.
* Coordinate HR communications in close collaboration with HR colleagues and Internal Communications, ensuring clear, well‑branded and timely messaging.
* Support HR events and processes, including trainings, onboarding, staff events, learning initiatives and internal gatherings.
* Ensure smooth HR team coordination through meeting support, presentations, retreats and efficient handling of staff requests via the HR ticketing system.
* Support the People Committee by organising meetings, taking minutes and acting as a key point of contact.
* Contribute to HR projects and change initiatives as required.
Skills & Experiences
* At least 3 years of relevant experience in HR coordination, executive assistance or people operations, ideally in an international environment.
* Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and sound judgement.
* Strong experience in HR communications, including drafting and coordinating internal communications.
* Solid organisational skills with experience in organising meetings, committees, trainings and staff events (onsite and virtual).
* Experience with HR information systems, ticketing tools, intranet platforms and standard office software.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and deadlines.
Language
Proficiency in English and French is required.
Education
CFC for commercial employees, HR certificate, equivalent qualification or any HR degrees are an asset. Candidates currently completing a Bachelor’s degree or higher education in a related field, and available to work part‑time, are also encouraged to apply.
