Business Development Manager
to drive growth in both our 
AI and Consulting service lines
.
Position Overview:
This role is a unique opportunity to take a leading role in Inova's development in Basel. You will be responsible for business development, offer creation, talent recruitment, and operational delivery with a high level of autonomy. You will act as a leader, helping structure and scale a profitable business unit within a high-growth company.
Key Responsibilities:
 
Business Development
 * Identify new business opportunities and target clients in the pharmaceutical and medtech sectors
 * Actively prospect through networking, LinkedIn, events, and referrals
 * Build strong relationships with decision-makers and technical stakeholders
 
Offer Design & Commercial Proposals
 * Respond to RFPs and structure tailored service proposals
 * Define delivery team composition, timelines, and pricing models
 * Collaborate with Inova's subject-matter experts to co-create impactful, high-value solutions
 
Team Building & Recruitment
 * Lead recruitment and sourcing of engineers and consultants to deliver services locally
 * Contribute to interviews, assessments, and onboarding processes
 * Help shape a strong team culture in alignment with Inova's values
 
Business Unit Management
 * Manage P&L for your own entity, with the support of the leadership team
 * Ensure delivery quality, client satisfaction, and resource optimization
 * Manage the delivery team in terms of operational follow-up, career evolution and development plan
Your Profile:
 * BSc or MSc in a scientific or business-related field
 * Experience in or around the 
 pharma / medtech
 sectors strongly preferred
 * Previous experience in 
 sales / commercial roles
 is a strong asset
 * Knowledge of the 
 Swiss industrial, life sciences or consulting market
 is a clear advantage
 * 2 to 10 years of experience in a B2B environment (industry or services)
 * Entrepreneurial mindset, hands-on, and results-driven
 * Strong communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills
 * Language skills: 
 Fluent in both German and English
 (mandatory); French is a plus
