Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
* Conduct quality inspections and tests to ensure all parts and assemblies meet or exceed customer requirements, design specifications, and company quality standards, focusing on dimensions, appearance, and product reliability.
* Serve as the local liaison between UK and Switzerland facilities to assist with ISO 9001 compliance requirements.
* Handle responsibilities including quality document control, calibration, and internal audits.
* Perform first part, in-process, and final inspections to verify operator accuracy and traceability, monitoring dimensions and visual appearance per prints, router specifications, and quality plans.
* Conduct various quality tests using equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, CMMs, and other precision measuring tools to verify conformance to design and print specifications.
* Visually inspect parts for defects like blemishes, voids, cracks, or other issues.
* Maintain quality records as required by the Quality Management System.
* Assist in compiling work instructions for Switzerland in collaboration with department heads and EU-QMS.
* Conduct incoming receiving inspections as per the Quality Management System.
* Initiate corrections such as router and print updates, NCRs, MRBs, and CARs.
* Communicate effectively with Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
* Ensure daily production and shipping meet logistics requirements, including raw material receipt, finished goods processing, and SAP transactions.
* Participate in problem-solving activities and solutions as needed.
* Operate a forklift as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
* HS Diploma or equivalent (apprenticeship certificate).
* Understanding of technical drawings and their interpretation.
* Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
* Experience with hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, Gages, and CMMs for part inspection preferred.
* Ability to read blueprints and apply basic shop math.
* Basic mechanical and computer skills are advantageous.
* Strong visual attention, reasoning, and judgment skills.
* Familiarity with SAP or similar systems.
Physical Requirements:
* Frequent standing and sitting (46-100%).
* Lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs without assistance.
* Occasional walking (16-45%).
* Ability to hear and see clearly, with or without corrective devices.
Mental Requirements:
* Occasional problem solving (0-15%).
* Decision-making with limited impact.
* Rare supervision (0-15%).
* Frequent data interpretation, organization, reading/writing, and communication (46-100%).
Work Environment:
* Occasional exposure to high and low temperatures (16-45%).
* Loud noises typical of manufacturing environments.
* Rare exposure to fumes (0-15%).
