UNICEF Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) Regional Office - SES Specialist (Consultancy)
UNICEF promotes the rights and welfare of all children and adolescents. The LAC Regional Office, based in Panama, supports fundraising and supporter engagement across 36 territories and seeks a highly qualified consultant to deliver the SalesForce-based Supporter Engagement Strategy (SES) for the Argentina market during the 2026 calendar year.
SCOPE OF WORK
The specialist will gather business requirements, redesign processes, and support the implementation of Salesforce and SES in the LAC Region while working under the guidance of the Digital Delivery Manager in Geneva and the Global SES Team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
CRM Requirements & Delivery Support
Identify and articulate specific CRM requirements with UNICEF offices; coordinate with local market teams, headquarters, and vendors for a successful solution delivery; maintain continuous communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Solution Design & Sustainability
Provide feedback on system design; incorporate regional needs into global updates; document fundraising processes via user stories; support Agile backlog grooming.
Business Decisions & Process Improvement
Advise on fundraising and supporter experience decisions; interpret Salesforce customization and integration; recommend enhancements and core functionality adoption; ensure process integrity and streamlining opportunities.
Implementation Readiness & Knowledge Management
Prepare readiness checklists; develop SES Deployment Suite assets; act as bridge between global product and local needs; manage best‑practice documentation; support knowledge‑management activities.
Communication & Regional Support
Update the LACRO Digital Space with SES information; enforce implementation plans; collaborate with third‑party providers on handbooks and training; guide governance and RACI tracking.
DELIVERABLES (Argentina – 2026)
Lead business requirements during Salesforce implementation – RACI updates, progress reports, SOPs, Power BI reports, sprint backlog management.
Guide third‑party agencies for localization – training delivery.
Conduct user testing – end‑to‑end testing, sanity checks, go‑live checklist.
Lead SES platform go‑live – support go‑live, dashboards, and reports.
Provide post‑deployment support – backlog management during the HyperCare phase.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
Advanced university degree in nonprofit management, marketing, communications, business administration, engineering, or equivalent; alternatively a first degree plus two additional years of experience.
Experience
Five (5) years of progressively responsible project management or marketing roles; proven knowledge of fundraising business processes; strong Salesforce expertise; donor‑management tools (e.g., Donor Perfect) are a plus.
Competencies
Proficiency in DevOps, testing methodologies; experience drafting business‑requirements documents; analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
Skills
Excellent written and oral communication; ability to translate complex requirements into technical language; team training and upskilling.
Languages
Fluency in English and Spanish required; knowledge of Portuguese is an asset.
LEGAL AND COMPLIANCE
Consultants will be bound by the same ethics and safeguarding standards as UNICEF staff. Consultants are responsible for their own tax and visa arrangements. UNICEF may withhold payment if deliverables fail to meet the required standard or if deadlines are not met.
