Partners Group is looking for a dynamic and team-oriented Balance Sheet Portfolio Manager to work in their Portfolio Management and Global Treasury teams. Reporting to the Global Head of Portfolio Management and the Global Head Treasury & Execution, the person will be responsible for leading Partners Group balance sheet investment strategy, including internal lending book management with the objective to optimize client returns while adhering to liquidity, market and credit risk.
Key responsibilities:
 * Lead the balance sheet investment activities, build and maintain necessary tools for effective steering
 * Drive deployment of balance sheet investment capacity by sourcing investment opportunities across the investment platform to deliver an optimized and stable P&L contribution from the balance sheet portfolio
 * Generate investment ideas and bespoke proposals to optimize balance sheet portfolio asset allocation, ensuring effective use of current and future available liquidity
 * Manage supply and demand of balance sheet investment capacity in close collaboration with Treasury, Portfolio Management, and Investment teams
 * Perform opportunity-cost assessments of ongoing and upcoming corporate strategic initiatives, evaluating their impact on capital allocation and risk-adjusted returns
 * Provide advice to senior management with financial projections and scenario analysis, evaluating capital efficiency, corporate leverage structure, lending strategies and risk-adjusted returns
What we expect
 * 6 – 12 years relevant work experience
 * Understanding of balance sheet mechanics
 * Experience in optimizing processes and building scalable tools to effectively steer balance sheet capacity management and investment strategies
 * Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
 * Strong work ethic with a desire to learn and succeed
 * Attention to detail and ability to work error-free
 * Effective and reliable team player
