Responsibilities
1. Conduct in vivo studies with rodents and rabbits in toxicology and pharmacokinetics
2. Perform clinical scoring and health monitoring of laboratory animals
3. Collect blood samples and administer dosing via multiple routes (IP, IV, PO, Subcutaneous)
4. Carry out basic necropsy procedures and tissue collection
5. Document, review, and verify study data in forms or electronic capture systems
6. Participate in weekend study activities on a rotational basis
7. Optionally assist in surgical procedures, including anesthesia, and provide pre- and postoperative care
8. Ensure compliance with animal welfare standards and best veterinary practices
Profile
9. Completed vocational training as in vivo associate, biology laboratory assistant, or equivalent experience with laboratory animals
10. Solid professional experience in animal laboratory work (rats and mice)
11. Accredited animal course certification (LTK or FELASA) is mandatory
12. Hands-on skills in dosing, blood collection, and necropsy techniques
13. Familiarity with electronic data capture systems and accurate documentation practices
14. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely
15. Team-oriented
16. Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage
